Jaipur – A Postcard from India

Postcards From India

Second in a series of artwork featuring heritage cities in the Indian sub-continent. I used paper collage and ink outlines to create the elements and assembled them on Photoshop CS. The scene shows monuments, architecture, objects and curiosities that are unique to each city. This piece is set in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Dominating the background is the exquisite Hawa Mahal (R), flanked by the beautiful architecture of the Pink City. In the far distance is the city palace, flying the royal flag and the Isvari Minar, the tallest tower in the heart of town. An elephant and a band of monkeys liven up the streets as they do everyday in Jaipur!

Next in line, the famous city of Agra and the stunning Taj!

Prints available at Society6.
