Agra – A Postcard from India

Agra3_150

As promised, the Taj! This artwork is the third in a series featuring heritage cities in India. Agra is famous for many things, however, one cannot depict this historic town without showcasing the Taj Mahal. The Yamuna flows peacefully, carrying a solitary boat across. On the other side of the river are the ‘dhobi ghats’ – the open-air laundry of the city, with colorful sheets laid out on the sand to dry. I used paper collage and ink outlines to create the elements and assembled them on Photoshop CS.

Prints available at Society6.
